# About the Google European Search Dataset Licensing Program
On September 6, 2023, the European Commission announced that Google has been designated as a
gatekeeper under the Digital Markets Act (**DMA**). From March 2024, Google made available to
qualifying recipients the relevant search dataset including appropriately anonymized data in order
to comply with Art. 6(11) DMA. On July 16, 2026, the European Commission adopted

# À propos du programme Google d'attribution de licence pour les ensembles de données de la recherche en Europe
Le 6 septembre 2023, la Commission européenne a annoncé que Google avait été désigné comme contrôleur d'accès dans le cadre de la loi sur les marchés numériques (DMA). À compter du 7 mars 2024, Google acceptera les demandes provenant de moteurs de recherche en ligne éligibles pour se conformer aux obligations de la DMA qui imposent à Google de concéder sous licence des données de recherche anonymisées aux moteurs de recherche en ligne destinés aux utilisateurs européens. Les licenciés éligibles pourront accéder au premier ensemble de données à partir du 1er avril 2024.
## Critères d'éligibilité pour recevoir des données de recherche
Pour obtenir une licence pour l'ensemble de données de la recherche Google, les candidats intéressés doivent remplir les conditions suivantes :
- **Moteur de recherche en ligne** Le licencié doit être un moteur de recherche en ligne tel que défini à l'article 2(6) du DMA.
- **Exercer une activité dans l'[Espace économique européen](https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Glossary:European_Economic_Area_(EEA)) (EEE) :** Le licencié doit exercer ses activités dans l'EEE, ce qui signifie que son moteur de recherche en ligne doit être destiné aux utilisateurs situés dans l'EEE.
- **Identifiants de sécurité :** Le licencié doit pouvoir justifier d'un historique de protection élevée des données utilisateur. Le licencié doit également démontrer qu'il dispose d'une infrastructure technique et de sécurité robuste (matériel et logiciel) pour protéger les données de recherche. En outre, le licencié doit avoir mis en place des systèmes pour garantir que les données sont protégées contre les attaques de cybercriminels ou d'organismes étatiques.
